Resort Assistant Co-ordinator

ROLE DESCRIPTION

The role of the Resort Assistant Co-ordinator is an integral and varied role and assists in every aspect of the Interski operations. It includes duties/tasks conducted by the Resort Assistant plus some additional duties/tasks of a team leader which include creating a rota, briefings with your team, supporting supervisors and ensuring your team are performing well.

We require our Resort Assistant Co-ordinator to be an all-rounder, happy to be client facing and just as happy to be working in the background. We require our Resort Assistant Co-ordinator to be flexible and adaptable as changes often occur when working in an operational environment and will need to have a can do, friendly, proactive, and positive outlook.

You MUST hold a full valid driver’s licence with driving experience and must be willing to drive a manual vehicle, 2-seater to 9-seater vehicles. Remember, you would be working in the Alps therefore you must be prepared to drive in all weather conditions.

Team leaders are expected to remain available to both their team and clients at all times, primarily via phone, to provide support and guidance should any issues arise in resort—attending in person if the situation requires it, regardless of the time of day or night.

Given the seasonal nature of the role, team members are expected to work up to a five-month period with one scheduled day off per week. The workdays can be long and physically demanding, often in varying weather conditions. As such, we value individuals who demonstrate resilience, a positive mindset, and a proactive approach to maintaining their mental and physical wellbeing throughout the season.

REQUIREMENTS

  • EU Passport or Right to Work in Italy (e. Permesso di Soggiorno) – ESSENTIAL
  • Criminal Record Disclosure / DBS / Police Check - ESSENTIAL
  • Team leader experience – DESIRABLE
  • Over 21 years old – DESIRABLE
  • Driver’s licence & willingness to drive manual vehicles in resort (2-seater/5-seater/9-seater) –ESSENTIAL
  • Fluent in English - ESSENTIAL
  • Willingness to learn Italian/French (Aosta Valley) – DESIRABLE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Team Leader Responsibilities
    • Attend weekly valley meeting
    • Creation of the weekly rota through liaising with all Aosta/Pila Supervisors to establish the Resort assistant requirements from all departments
    • Daily briefings with your team
    • Ensuring your team is carrying out duties/tasks
    • Supporting your team
  • Ski Hire
    • Assisting in ski hire on arrivals day (fitting boots, poles, skis etc)
    • Office Day (normally this will fall on Thursday after the supervisors have completed their panning for the coming week)
  • On Hill
    • Welcoming clients at the gondola station
    • Liaise with Snowsports Operations Supervisor and oversee school arrivals/departures to check out / check in area
    • Advising clients to keep safe when crossing the piste
    • Assisting clients on chairlifts on the first day or two
    • Responding to WhatsApp whilst on the hill which could be for a change of equipment. Assisting clients in the medical centre if there has been an accident/injury and ensure relevant documentation is completed
  • Movements/Transfers
    • Move clients and staff within the Aosta Valley
    • Provide airport transfers from/to Turin, Milan & Geneva airports
  • Après Ski Events
    • Ad hoc requirement to attend après ski activities such as ice skating, disco and presentation evening runarounds
  • Other
    • Delivery of a welcome meeting to arriving holiday clients (adult and family groups)
    • Ad hoc requirement to cover days off for other staff members in the role of a schools & college co-ordinator (rep for a school group)
  • Resort Rescue
    • Assisting clients in the medical centre if there has been an accident/injury and ensure relevant documentation is completed
    • On Call Night - on call from 17:00-08:00 for any accidents/injuries or any operational requirements that may take place

CONTRACTOR PACKAGE

  • Contribution towards travel expenses at the start and end of the season
  • Training programme delivered at the start of the season
  • Accommodation (shared room in shared apartment or hotel)
    • Option to live out and an allowance of £400.00 per month offered
  • Meals (lunch provided during the season)
  • Uniform (ski jacket, ski trousers, gilet and polo tops)
  • Lift Pass
    • Aosta/Pila staff will receive a season pass for Pila, Crevacol & Cogne
    • If required to work in another resort, a daily or 5-day lift pass will be provided
  • Equipment (skis/poles/boards/boots if required)
  • Insurance (travel, medical and public liability)
  • One day off per week
  • Pre-agreed time off during the season (non-peak weeks only) to attend snowsports courses
  • Staff Engagement Programme (employee of the month and social events)
  • Competitive wages of £1400.00 pcm working on a contractor basis

Our full time Resort Assistant Co-ordinator is based in the Aosta/Pila the work will be carried out in Aosta Valley with ad hoc requirements to work in Courmayeur, La Thuile & Gressoney
