Holidays Co-ordinator

ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Holidays Co-ordinator is responsible for the delivery of our Ski Holidays product which incorporates adult & family groups, solo travellers & corporate groups in La Thuile & Courmayeur working closely with their line managers, the Holidays Supervisor who is based in Aosta/Pila and Resort Supervisor MB based in La Thuile.

They will look after clients staying in up to 14 hotels across La Thuile & Courmayeur. 

The Holidays Co-ordinator will assist with the operational planning and will ensure that they understand their schedule for the week. Operational planning tasks may include preparing arrival and departure letters, preparing lunch vouchers and lift passes and preparing equipment for pre-fit.

They may be required to meet and collect the clients from the airports (Turin, Milan Malpensa and/or Geneva) or meet the clients once they arrive in resort. Once in resort, the Holidays Co-ordinator will deliver a welcome meeting and will assist or arrange for the ski fit process to be completed.

The Holidays Co-ordinator will be on hand during the week to ensure that the clients are enjoying their holiday and will be able to assist with any questions, queries or any issues that arise. Throughout the season there will also be an operational requirement for this individual to adopt other roles within the team based on operational requirements.

Given the seasonal nature of the role, team members are expected to work up to a five-month period with one scheduled day off per week. The workdays can be long and physically demanding, often in varying weather conditions. As such, we value individuals who demonstrate resilience, a positive mindset, and a proactive approach to maintaining their mental and physical wellbeing throughout the season.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with the operational planning of reviewing and cross-checking Resort Reports, creating arrival and departure letters, preparing lunch vouchers and lift passes and arranging the pre-fit of the equipment
  • Complete airport transfers from/to Turin, Milan Malpensa, and Geneva airports
  • Meet and greet clients upon their arrival into resort and deliver a welcome meeting
  • Assist and complete ski fit for arriving clients
  • Allocation of rental wear in Italy (ski jacket and ski trousers)
  • Being on hand in resort to check in with the clients to ensure that everything is running smoothly in resort. Troubleshooting and finding solutions to any issues that arise during the week
  • Ensuring a smooth departure process (preparing for check out, understanding shower arrangements for after skiing on the final day, early departure meals etc)
  • Providing 10/10 customer care from the moment the clients arrive in resort until the moment they leave resort.
  • Depending on client numbers in resort there may be the need to adopt other roles within the teams as operationally required.
  • In La Thuile the On Call duties are shared amongst the team during the week, on call from 17:00-08:00 for any accidents/injuries or any operational requirements that may take place

REQUIREMENTS

  • EU Passport or Right to Work in Italy (e. Permesso di Soggiorno) – ESSENTIAL
  • Criminal Record Disclosure / DBS / Police Check - ESSENTIAL
  • Over 21 years old – DESIRABLE
  • Driver’s licence & willingness to drive manual vehicles in resort (2-seater/5-seater/9-seater) – ESSENTIAL
  • Fluent in English - ESSENTIAL
  • Willingness to learn Italian/French (Aosta Valley) – DESIRABLE

CONTRACTOR PACKAGE

  • Contribution towards travel expenses at the start and end of the contract
  • Training programme delivered at the start of the contract
  • Accommodation (maximum twin share in a hotel or apartment)
    • Option to live out and an allowance of £400.00 per month offered
  • Meals (lunch provided during the season)
  • Uniform (ski jacket, ski trousers, gilet and polo shirts)
  • Lift Pass
    • Full time contractors based in La Thuile will receive a season pass for La Thuile & La Rosiere
    • If required to work in another resort, a daily or 5-day lift pass will be provided
  • Equipment (skis/poles/boards/boots if required)
  • Insurance (travel, medical and public liability) – depending on nationality
  • One day off per week
  • Pre-agreed time off during the season (non-peak weeks only)
  • Team Engagement Programme (contractor of the month and social events)
  • Competitive wages of £1000.00 pcm working on a contractor basis

Our full time Holidays Co-ordinators is contracted to work in the Aosta Valley, Italy and work carried out in La Thuile & Courmayeur with ad hoc requirements to work in Aosta/Pila & Gressoney.

Our Rescue Co-ordinator will co-ordinate any accidents/injuries that arise in the resort of Pila by communicating with instructors, calling the piste rescue services, informing the party leaders / teachers and resort team in order to provide an excellent service to our clients when they are in need. The Rescue Co-ordinator will also attend to accidents/injuries in the medical centre as well as collate and log all of the documentation onto our CRM. They will also attend après ski activities and cover one on call shift per week.
