ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Team Welfare & Logistics Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of resort team movements, accommodation allocations, and overall resort team welfare within the resort. This position involves close collaboration with the resort management team and supervisors to address the logistical needs of team members and support their well-being.
A key objective of this role is to support team morale by working with the management team to organize team events and promote contractor retention.
Supervisors are expected to remain available to both their team and clients at all times, primarily via phone, to provide support and guidance should any issues arise in resort—attending in person if the situation requires it, regardless of the time of day or night.
Given the seasonal nature of the role, team members are expected to work up to a five-month period with one scheduled day off per week. The workdays can be long and physically demanding, often in varying weather conditions. As such, we value individuals who demonstrate resilience, a positive mindset, and a proactive approach to maintaining their mental and physical wellbeing throughout the season.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Logistics Management
- Ensure transportation arrangements for full-time and part-time resort team to and from the resort are in place
- Allocate accommodation for resort team members, considering preferences and special requirements
- Prepare for resort team arrivals and departures, ensuring provision of necessary items such as equipment, uniform, bedding, and meal vouchers as per company policy
- Maintain accurate records of resort team movements and accommodations
- Cross checking all departmental rotas and resort team plan
- Prepare lift pass requests on a weekly basis
- Prepare Valley Meeting agenda/minutes and Resort Team Weekly Meeting agenda
- Provide client feedback to the relevant resort team members, ensuring it is emailed and logged on the staff profile
- Maintain accurate records for resort team arriving late for work, resort team absence or illness or time off requests
Welfare Support
- Assist in organising and facilitating contractor engagement activities, including contractor recognition and monthly events.
- Serve as a point of contact for resort team welfare concerns, providing support and assistance to team members facing challenges in their roles or personal circumstances.
- Identify opportunities to enhance team morale and well-being within the resort environment.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Liaise with resort supervisors and department heads to ensure alignment on resort logistics and welfare priorities.
- Communicate effectively with resort team members to provide information and support regarding logistics arrangements and welfare programs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team culture through regular communication and collaboration with resort team at all levels.
- Coordinate and deliver a ski orientation session for part-time staff in Pila on Monday mornings, following snowsports check-out. Ensure similar arrangements are made during visits to other resorts, where applicable.
- Arrange transport on Tuesday evenings in Aosta/Pila to enable part-time team members in resort to join social activities and foster team integration.

REQUIREMENTS
- EU Passport or Right to Work in Italy (e. Permesso di Soggiorno) – ESSENTIAL
- Criminal Record Disclosure / DBS / Police Check - ESSENTIAL
- Team leader experience – DESIRABLE
- Over 21 years old – DESIRABLE
- Driver’s licence & willingness to drive manual vehicles in resort (2-seater/5-seater/9-seater) –ESSENTIAL
- Fluent in English - ESSENTIAL
- Willingness to learn Italian/French (Aosta Valley) – DESIRABLE
CONTRACTOR PACKAGE
- Contribution towards travel expenses at the start and end of the contract
- Training programme delivered at the start of the contract
- Accommodation (shared room in shared apartment or hotel)
- Option to live out and an allowance of £400.00 per month offered
- Meals (lunch provided during the season)
- Uniform (ski jacket, ski trousers, gilet and polo shirts)
- Lift Pass
- Aosta/Pila team members will receive a season pass for Pila, Crevacol & Cogne
- If required to work in another resort, a daily or 5-day lift pass will be provided
- Equipment (skis/poles/boards/boots if required)
- Insurance (travel, medical and public liability) – depending on nationality
- One day off per week
- Pre-agreed time off during the season (non-peak weeks only)

- Competitive wages of £1700.00 pcm working on a contractor basis

Our full time Team Welfare & Logistics Supervisor is based in the Aosta/Pila the work will be carried out in Aosta Valley with ad hoc requirements to work in Courmayeur, La Thuile & Gressoney.
