ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Transport Supervisor plays a critical role in leading the on-the-ground delivery of all transport operations throughout the season. Working full-time in resort, this position is responsible for the execution, supervision, and adjustment of transport plans during live operations.
A key part of the role involves forward planning of transfers and liaising with external transport providers. The Transport Supervisor is responsible for booking or requesting transfers in advance, confirming details weekly, and managing communication with third-party companies regarding driver allocations and schedules.
As the senior transport team member in resort, they will work closely with the Transport Assistant in resort and UK based Operations to deliver efficient and high-quality transport services in line with operational requirements.
Supervisors are expected to remain available to both their team and clients at all times, primarily via phone, to provide support and guidance should any issues arise in resort—attending in person if the situation requires it, regardless of the time of day or night.
Given the seasonal nature of the role, team members are expected to work up to a five-month period with one scheduled day off per week. The workdays can be long and physically demanding, often in varying weather conditions. As such, we value individuals who demonstrate resilience, a positive mindset, and a proactive approach to maintaining their mental and physical wellbeing throughout the season.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead all in-resort transport operations, including AM/PM planning, daily execution, and driver coordination.
- Manage the coach park, ensuring safe and organised movement of vehicles and passengers.
- Deliver briefings to drivers and staff related to transport procedures.
- Drive coaches as required (typically Sunday and Friday) to support guest and staff transfers if a coach drivers’ licence is held.
- Take full responsibility for the successful delivery of client and staff transfers and movements.
- Be the key decision-maker for last-minute changes and real-time operational adjustments.
- Maintain and update the ATS (Airport Transfer Sheet) master and allocate drivers for transfers and movements in collaboration with the Transport Assistant.
- Ensure vehicle checks are completed on a weekly basis in collaboration with the Transport Assistant.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the Transport Assistant and wider resort team, especially Resort Assistants.
- Liaise regularly with the other departments to ensure efficient and aligned operations.
Transfer Planning and Coordination:
- Forward plan all transport needs by booking or requesting services from external transfer companies in advance.
- Maintain up-to-date records and schedules for all third-party transfers.
- Confirm details of transfers weekly with external providers, including driver names and numbers.
- Ensure all external providers are fully briefed on operational requirements and timelines.
- Act as the main point of contact for external transfer companies during the season.

REQUIREMENTS
- EU Passport or Right to Work in Italy (e. Permesso di Soggiorno) – ESSENTIAL
- Criminal Record Disclosure / DBS / Police Check - ESSENTIAL
- Team leader experience – DESIRABLE
- Over 21 years old – DESIRABLE
- Driver’s licence & willingness to drive manual vehicles in resort (2-seater/5-seater/9-seater) –ESSENTIAL
- Coach drivers’ licence - DESIRABLE
- Fluent in English - ESSENTIAL
- Willingness to learn Italian/French (Aosta Valley) – DESIRABLE
CONTRACTOR PACKAGE
- Contribution towards travel expenses at the start and end of the contract

- Option to live out and an allowance of £400.00 per month offered

- If required to work in another resort, a daily or 5 day lift pass will be provided

Our full time Transport Supervisor is based in the Aosta/Pila the work will be carried out in Aosta Valley with ad hoc requirements to work in Courmayeur, La Thuile & Gressoney.
