ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Resources Supervisor is responsible for the Ski Hire and Rental Wear departments in Aosta however operationally distribution of rental wear will be for the Aosta Valley and they will also communicate equipment requirements for clients in La Thuile, Gressoney and Courmayeur to external suppliers.
Within the ski hire building in Aosta, they will be responsible for the equipment distribution ensuring stock levels and rotation and maintenance is achieved. They will allocate lockers and Interski clients to clients on a weekly basis and prepare paperwork and documentation for rental wear requirements.
They will work closely with the Resort Assistant Co-ordinator and Resort Assistants.
We require our Resources Supervisor to be an all-rounder, happy to be client facing and just as happy to be working in the background. We require our Resources Supervisor to be flexible and adaptable as changes on a daily basis occur when working in an operational environment and will need to have a can do, friendly, proactive, and positive outlook.
Supervisors are expected to remain available to both their team and clients at all times, primarily via phone, to provide support and guidance should any issues arise in resort—attending in person if the situation requires it, regardless of the time of day or night.
Given the seasonal nature of the role, team members are expected to work up to a five-month period with one scheduled day off per week. The workdays can be long and physically demanding, often in varying weather conditions. As such, we value individuals who demonstrate resilience, a positive mindset, and a proactive approach to maintaining their mental and physical wellbeing throughout the season.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
SKI HIRE
- The Resources Supervisor will review weekly operational requirements and will allocate lockers for clients, both from the Schools & College market as well as the Ski Holidays market, taking into consideration that pre-fits need to be completed therefore the lockers cannot be allocated the previous week
- Print out the Interski Client Cards
- Review upgraded ski requirements
- Prepare documentation for the pre fit of equipment
- Prepare part time equipment requirements for all resorts for each week
- Responsible for the opening and closing of ski hire on a daily basis and completing daily and weekly tasks
- Monitor stock levels in the Pila storeroom and carry out a stock check and restock as necessary
- Rotation and service of equipment (skis and boots)
RENTAL WEAR
- The Resources Supervisor will review the rental wear weekly requirements and will prepare the relevant labels and documentation
- Liaise with the UK Rental Wear department on queries, late orders and any rental related matters
- Prepare part time resort team and part instructor uniform requirements for all resorts for each week
- Along with the Resort Assistants, prepare, deliver, collect and turn over rental wear (ski jackets, ski trousers, helmets)
- Monitor stock levels and carry out a stock check and restock as necessary
- Rotation of rental wear and uniform
TEAM LEADER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cross check Resort Assistant rota to ensure all tasks are allocated
- Daily briefings with the Resort Assistant team members
- Ensuring that the team is carrying out duties/tasks and supporting them in their duties

REQUIREMENTS
- EU Passport or Right to Work in Italy (e. Permesso di Soggiorno) – ESSENTIAL
- Criminal Record Disclosure / DBS / Police Check - ESSENTIAL
- Team leader experience – DESIRABLE
- Over 21 years old – DESIRABLE
- Driver’s licence & willingness to drive manual vehicles in resort (2 seater/5 seater/9 seater) –ESSENTIAL
- Fluent in English - ESSENTIAL
- Willingness to learn Italian/French (Aosta Valley) – DESIRABLE
CONTRACTOR PACKAGE
- Contribution towards travel expenses at the start and end of the contract

- If required to work in another resort, a daily or 5 day lift pass will be provided

WHERE YOU CAN DO THIS ROLE
Our full time Resources Supervisor is based in the Aosta/Pila the work will be carried out in Aosta Valley with ad hoc requirements to work in Courmayeur, La Thuile & Gressoney.
