ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Snowsports Supervisor is responsible for the operational planning and delivery of the snowsports school for La Thuile.

The Snowsports Supervisor is responsible for the operational planning of the snowsports school for La Thuile preparing the groupings for the schools & college groups.
They will review the resort reports and snowsports school requests and look at the planning and building of the snowsports school.
The Snowsports Supervisor will review instructor numbers, create a plan allocate instructors based on client ski and snowboard ability levels and will then communicate with the party leaders to finalise arrangements and confirm groupings.
They will confirm the Italian instructor names from local ski schools. They will allocate students to instructor groups and then complete lunch allocations and timings ensuring that instructors have a fair allocation of levels of groups during their contracted weeks with Interski. Once allocated they will provide the local ski school with the snowsports school grouping information sheet which confirms levels and timings for the week.
The Snowsports Supervisor will prepare the snowsports school presentation plan.
They will book part time instructors into local restaurants for their breakfast and evening meals.
The Snowsports Supervisor will meet the party leader on arrivals day to reconfirm snowsports school groupings for the week ahead.
They will also create and update the Snowsports WhatsApp groups per week ensuring that all confirmed instructors appear in the group.
Operational considerations include:
The Snowsports Supervisor is responsible for the operational delivery of the snowsports school programme in La Thuile based on planning that has been completed.
They are responsible for the full time and part time instructors and will provide guidance, support, help with questions and be there for their team welfare.
The Snowsports Supervisor will deliver the Sunday instructor welcome meeting and will be responsible for delivering the daily instructor morning briefings. They must speak a minimum of conversational Italian in order to communicate with the local ski schools who provide us with part time instructors.
They will oversee check out and check in, ensuring that all clients are allocated to an instructor group of the correct ability level, and will troubleshoot any issues that arise. During the day, they will monitor beginners’ area, the progression to ensure that instructors are following the strict group management that is outlined for them and ensure that suppliers on the hill are happy with the collaborations with Interski.
The Snowsports Supervisor will monitor and respond to the WhatsApp calls/messages in relation to an accident/injury, lost or found student and any requests for equipment changes. When an accident/injury takes place, they will collect in all relevant information and contact the piste rescue services for them to attend to the injured party.
The Snowsports Operations Supervisor will also arrange regular lessons for staff and training for instructors as well as delivering lessons to clients when operationally required.
Supervisors are expected to remain available to both their team and clients at all times, primarily via phone, to provide support and guidance should any issues arise in resort—attending in person if the situation requires it, regardless of the time of day or night.
Given the seasonal nature of the role, team members are expected to work up to a five-month period with one scheduled day off per week. The workdays can be long and physically demanding, often in varying weather conditions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Monitor beginners’ area, progression, group management, supplier relations
- Monitor the rescue phone for accidents & injuries that occur during the day
- Liaison with resort team member/s for equipment changes. Rescue etc
- Arrange snowsports lessons to clients, staff and deliver instructor training
- In La Thuile, the team will be responsible for rescue cover, during the evening, on a rotation basis

REQUIREMENTS
- EU Passport or Right to Work in Italy (e. Permesso di Soggiorno) – ESSENTIAL
- Criminal Record Disclosure / DBS / Police Check - ESSENTIAL
- Enhanced DBS for UK residents/citizens which Interski will assist with
- Team leader experience – ESSENTIAL
- Minimum Level 2 Alpine Ski Qualification – ESSENTIAL
- Over 21 years old – DESIRABLE
- Driver’s licence & willingness to drive manual vehicles in resort (2 seater/5 seater/9 seater) – ESSENTIAL
- Fluent in English - ESSENTIAL
- Conversational Italian – DESIRABLE
CONTRACTOR PACKAGE
- Contribution towards travel expenses at the start and end of the contract

Our full time Snowsports Supervisor is contracted to work in the Aosta Valley, Italy and work carried out in La Thuile / Courmayeur with ad hoc requirements to work in our other resorts of Aosta/Pila, Courmayeur and Gressoney.
