ROLE DESCRIPTION
The role of Resort Assistant’s is an integral and varied role and assists in every aspect of the Interski operations.
We require our Resort Assistants to be all-rounders, happy to be client facing and just as happy to be working in the background. We require our Resort Assistant’s to be flexible and adaptable as changes occur on a daily basis when working in an operational environment and our Resort Assistant’s will need to have a can do, friendly, proactive, and positive outlook.
Resort Assistant’s MUST hold a full valid driver’s licence and have driving experience and must be willing to drive a manual vehicle, 2-seater to 9-seater vehicles. Remember, they would be working in the Alps therefore you must be prepared to drive in all weather conditions.
There are positions based in both Aosta/Pila and in La Thuile/Courmayeur with a requirement to work in different resorts over the course of the season as operationally required.
Given the seasonal nature of the role, team members are expected to work up to a five-month period with one scheduled day off per week. The workdays can be long and physically demanding, often in varying weather conditions. As such, we value individuals who demonstrate resilience, a positive mindset, and a proactive approach to maintaining their mental and physical wellbeing throughout the season.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ski Hire
- Assisting in ski hire on arrivals day (fitting boots, poles, skis etc)
- Assisting in ski hire in the mornings and afternoons (when clients come through the building)
- Ski Hire shift (normally one shift per week in the ski hire building and tasks include pre fitting, cleaning, sorting etc)
- Assist the rental wear department in the preparation, delivery, collection and turning over rental wear (ski jackets, ski trousers, helmets)
- On Hill
- Welcoming clients at the gondola station
- Advising clients to keep safe when crossing the piste
- Assistance at check out in the mornings
- Assisting clients on chairlifts on the first day or two
- Responding to WhatsApp calls/messages whilst on the hill which could be for a change of equipment
- Assistance at check in in the afternoons
- Movements/Transfers
- Move clients and team members within the Aosta Valley
- Provide airport transfers from/to Turin, Milan & Geneva airports
- Après Ski Events
- Ad hoc requirement to attend après ski activities such as ice skating, disco, and presentation evening run-arounds
- Resort Rescue
- Assisting clients in the medical centre if there has been an accident/injury and ensure relevant documentation is completed
- On Call Night - on call from 17:00-08:00 for any accidents/injuries or any operational requirements that may take place
- Other
- Delivery of a welcome meeting to arriving holiday clients (adult and family groups)
- Ad hoc requirement to cover days off for other team members in the role of a schools & college co-ordinator (rep for a school group)

REQUIREMENTS
- EU Passport or Right to Work in Italy (e. Permesso di Soggiorno) – ESSENTIAL
- Criminal Record Disclosure / DBS / Police Check - ESSENTIAL
- Over 21 years old – DESIRABLE
- Driver’s licence & willingness to drive manual vehicles in resort (2 seater/5 seater/9 seater) –ESSENTIAL
- Fluent in English - ESSENTIAL
- Willingness to learn Italian/French (Aosta Valley) – DESIRABLE
CONTRACTOR PACKAGE
- Contribution towards travel expenses at the start and end of the contract
- Training programme delivered at the start of the contract
- Accommodation (maximum twin share in a hotel or apartment)
- Option to live out and an allowance of £400.00 per month offered
- Meals (lunch provided during the season)
- Uniform (ski jacket, ski trousers, gilet and polo shirts)
- Lift Pass
- Aosta/Pila team members will receive a season pass for Pila, Crevacol & Cogne
- If required to work in another resort, a daily or 5 day lift pass will be provided
- Equipment (skis/poles/boards/boots if required)
- Insurance (travel, medical and public liability) – depending on nationality
- One day off per week
- On snow training offered ad hoc over the season
- Pre-agreed time off during the season (non-peak weeks only)
- Team Engagement Programme (contractor of the month and social events)
- Competitive wages of £1000.00 pcm working on a contractor basis

WHERE YOU CAN DO THIS ROLE
Our full time Resort Assistants are contracted to work in the Aosta Valley, Italy and work carried out in Aosta/Pila or La Thuile with ad hoc requirements to work in our other resorts within the Aosta Valley, Bardonecchia and beyond.
