ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Resort Supervisor focuses on the planning and operational delivery in La Thuile and Courmayeur.
The Resort Supervisor will review Resort Reports for the Schools & Colleges groups that are travelling. They will create an après ski programme, liaise with party leaders regarding the programme and book the events with the local suppliers. They will also prepare the lunch vouchers and lift passes. Whilst they will review the Resort Reports for the Ski Holiday groups, the operational planning will be conducted by the Holidays Supervisor in Aosta/Pila. They will also prepare rotas and oversee the operations of the resort assistants including après, transfers and other in resort responsibilities.
The Resort Supervisor will prepare weekly documentation for both the full time and part time team members as well as create/maintain the WhatsApp groups and will be their point of contact in resort for questions, support, and team welfare.
They will meet and greet coach drivers, party leaders and clients daily and liaise with them to ensure that the week is running smoothly.
They are also a point of contact for party leaders, suppliers, and hoteliers. When client numbers fluctuate after items have been prepared or after the client’s arrival, the Resort Supervisor will need to inform suppliers and return items such as the lift pass to the lift pass office.
The Resort Supervisor will monitor the resort team’s delivery and performance by checking in at hotels and attending ad hoc party leader welcome meetings, group welcome meetings, snowsports school presentations and spot check on hotel boards and attending at least one après ski events per week. Supervisors are expected to remain available to both their team and clients at all times, primarily via phone, to provide support and guidance should any issues arise in resort—attending in person if the situation requires it, regardless of the time of day or night.
Given the seasonal nature of the role, team members are expected to work up to a five-month period with one scheduled day off per week. The workdays can be long and physically demanding, often in varying weather conditions.
