Holidays Supervisor

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Our Holidays Supervisor is responsible for the operational planning and delivery of our Ski Holidays product which incorporates adult & family groups, solo travellers & corporate groups. The Holidays Supervisor will need to work closely with the Holidays Supervisor in the other resort.

In Aosta/Pila, they will look after clients staying in up to 8 hotels which are based in Aosta town centre and in the resort of Pila whilst in La Thuile/Courmayeur they will look after clients staying in up to 15 hotels.

The Holidays Supervisor will complete the operational planning by reviewing and cross checking Resort Reports, creating arrival and departure letters, and preparing the lunch vouchers and lift pass requests and will plan the week rota and in Aosta/Pila they will ensure that the Holidays Co-ordinator or any staff helping the Holidays department understand the requirements.

They may be required to meet and collect the clients from the airports (Turin, Milan Malpensa and/or Geneva) or meet the clients once they arrive in resort. Once in resort, the Holidays Supervisor will deliver a welcome meeting and will assist or arrange for the ski fit process to be completed.

The Holidays Supervisor will be on hand during the week to ensure that the clients are enjoying their holiday and will be able to assist with any questions, queries or any issues that arise. The Holidays Supervisor in Aosta/Pila will be a line manager to a Holidays Co-ordinator who helps with the operational delivery of the Ski Holidays product.

REQUIREMENTS

  • EU Passport or Right to Work in Italy (e. Permesso di Soggiorno) – ESSENTIAL
  • Criminal Record Disclosure / DBS / Police Check - ESSENTIAL
  • Team leader experience – DESIRABLE
  • Over 21 years old – DESIRABLE
  • Driver’s licence & willingness to drive manual vehicles in resort (2 seater/5 seater/9 seater) –ESSENTIAL
  • Fluent in English - ESSENTIAL
  • Conversational Italian – DESIRABLE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complete the operational planning of reviewing and cross checking Resort Reports, creating arrival and departure letters, preparing lunch vouchers and lift passes and arranging the pre-fit of the equipment
  • Complete airport transfers from/to Turin, Milan Malpensa, and Geneva airports
  • Meet and greet clients upon their arrival into resort and deliver a welcome meeting
  • Assist and complete ski fit for arriving clients
  • Allocation of rental wear if booked (ski jacket and ski trousers)
  • Being on hand in resort to check in with the clients to ensure that everything is running smoothly in resort. Troubleshooting and finding solutions to any issues that arise during the week
  • Ensuring a smooth departure process (preparing for check out, understanding shower arrangements for after skiing on the final day, early departure meals etc)
  • In La Thuile, the team will be responsible for rescue / on call cover, during the evening, on a rotation basis plus assisting with Resort Assistant duties throughout the season
  • Providing 10/10 customer care from the moment the clients arrive in resort until the moment they leave resort

STAFF PACKAGE

  • Contribution towards travel expenses at the start and end of the season
  • Training programme delivered at the start of the season
  • Accommodation (shared room in shared apartment or hotel)
    • Option to live out and an allowance of £500.00 per month offered
    • Returning staff who return from a supervisor position to a supervisor position are entitled to a single room in an apartment/hotel
  • Meals (lunch provided during the season)
  • Uniform (ski jacket, ski trousers, gilet and polo tops)
  • Lift Pass
    • Aosta/Pila staff will receive a season pass for Pila, Crevacol & Cogne
    • La Thuile staff will receive a season pass for La Thuile & La Rosiere
    • If required to work in another resort, a daily or 5 day lift pass will be provided
  • Equipment (skis/poles/boards/boots if required)
  • Insurance (travel, medical and public liability)
  • One day off per week
  • Pre-agreed time off during the season (non-peak weeks only) to attend snowsports courses
  • Staff Engagement Programme (employee of the month and social events)
  • Competitive wages of £1700.00 pcm working on a contractor basis

  • Two (One in Aosta/Pila and one in La Thuile/Courmayeur) BUT only recruiting for 1 in La Thuile/Courmayeur

WHERE YOU CAN DO THIS ROLE

Our full time Holiday Supervisors are employed to work in the Aosta Valley, Italy. For the Aosta/Pila based supervisor, the work will be carried out in Aosta/Pila with ad hoc requirements to work in Courmayeur, La Thuile & Gressoney and for the La Thuile based supervisor, the work will be carried out in La Thuile and Courmayeur with ad hoc requirements to work in Aosta/Pila and Gressoney.
