ROLE DESCRIPTION
Interski are looking for ski instructors to join us on an 80 day contract from the 24th January 2024 until the 13th April 2024. For UK Passport holders, you MUST have sufficient days available on the 90/180 days Schengen area agreement. Once the ETIAS Visa Waiver is introduced in 2024, UK passport holders must apply for the visa waiver which monitors stays in the Schengen area.
Our season is broken down into weeks and each week you would teach 24 hours of lessons over 5 days, 5 days of lunch time supervision, plus you are required to attend morning briefings and you are required to attend a snowsports school presentation on one evening. Instructors may be required to assist in ski hire on Sundays, up to 6 Sundays of the season.
Our instructors will be teaching our clients from the Schools & College market, approx. 12-16 year olds with a high percentage of our clients being new to skiing. In Aosta/Pila, one full time instructor per week may be required to work in a support capacity, with assisting with check out and check in, holidays lessons, booster lessons etc.
Our full time instructors will be based in Aosta/Pila and will work in their ‘home’ resort. When there are insufficient client numbers in the home resort, instructors will be allocated to work in other resorts within the Aosta Valley.

REQUIREMENTS
- UK passport with sufficient days on the 90/180 day Schengen area agreement or EU Passport or Right to Work in Italy (via residency or work visa)
- Minimum of a Level 2 Ski Qualification
- e.g., BASI, IASI, CSIA, NZSIA, APSI etc.

- Instructor Membership Card (in date to cover the current season)
- For example, this could be a physical card or electronic card, or it could be a QR code
- Criminal Record Disclosure / DBS / Police Check
- Enhanced DBS for UK residents/citizens which Interski would assist with
- First Aid Certificate (if a requirement of your instructor governing body)
- CPD (if a requirement of your instructor governing body)
- For example, some governing bodies require instructors to revalidate their qualification every 3 years
- Fluent/Conversational in the English language
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attend daily instructor briefings
- Deliver 24 hours of lessons over 5 days. Lesson times may vary from 09:30-15:30 or 10:00-16:00 with an hour allocated to lunch/breaks
- Supervise the students during their lunch hour/breaks
- Attend the snowsports school presentation event, normally on a Thursday evening at the client’s hotel
- Assist in ski hire on a Sunday (up to 6 Sunday over the course of the season)

STAFF PACKAGE
- Contribution towards travel expenses at the start and end of the contract
- Training programme delivered upon arrival in resort
- Accommodation (maximum twin share in a hotel or apartment)
- Option to live out and an allowance of £400.00 per month offered

- Uniform (ski jacket and ski trousers & off hill trousers & polo)

- Aosta/Pila instructors will receive a season pass for Pila, Crevacol & Cogne
- If required to work in another resort, a daily or 5 day lift pass will be provided
- Equipment (skis/poles/boards/boots if required)
- Insurance (travel, medical and public liability)
- On-snow training (ad-hoc during the season)
- Minimum of one day off per week
- Staff Engagement Programme (employee of the month and social events)
- Competitive wages of £1700.00 pcm working on a contractor basis

Our full time instructors are employed to work in the Aosta Valley, Italy working in the ski resorts of Pila, La Thuile & Gressoney.
