Rescue Co-ordinator

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Our Rescue Co-ordinator will co-ordinate any accidents/injuries that arise in the resort of Pila by communicating with instructors, calling the piste rescue services, informing the party leaders / teachers and resort team in order to provide an excellent service to our clients when they are in need.

This role does not require any medical experience, you organise the logistics and act as a linguistic aid only.

REQUIREMENTS

  • EU Passport or Right to Work in Italy (e. Permesso di Soggiorno) – ESSENTIAL
  • Criminal Record Disclosure / DBS / Police Check - ESSENTIAL
  • Over 18 years old – ESSENTIAL
  • Driver’s licence & willingness to drive manual vehicles in resort (2 seater/5 seater/9 seater) –ESSENTIAL
  • Fluent in English – ESSENTIAL
  • Conversational / Fluent in Italian - ESSENTIAL

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Our Rescue Co-ordinator will be contacted by an instructor and will contact the piste rescue service, Soccorso, to assist with transferring a client from piste to medical centre.

They will contact the party leader or teacher of the injured client and request that they make their way to the medical centre to meet the injured client.

The Rescue Co-ordinator will contact the Resort Assistant to advise them to proceed to the medical centre to assist with injured client, meet the party leader or teacher and complete relevant documentation.

They may be required to assist in the medical centre on quieter weeks instead of a Resort Assistant and attend an evening après ski activity such as ice staking and will be required to cover at least one on call evening shift for Resort Rescue.

Collating rescue paperwork and inputting into on our bespoke CRM.

The Rescue Co-ordinator will also work as a Resort Assistant on arrivals day by assisting with the ski fit of our clients.

STAFF PACKAGE

  • Contribution towards travel expenses at the start and end of the season
  • Training programme delivered at the start of the season
  • Accommodation (maximum twin share in a hotel or apartment)
    • Option to live out and an allowance of £400.00 per month offered
  • Meals (lunch provided during the season)
  • Uniform (ski jacket, ski trousers, gilet and polo tops)
  • Lift Pass
    • Aosta/Pila staff will receive a season pass for Pila, Crevacol & Cogne
    • If required to work in another resort, a daily lift pass will be provided
  • Equipment (skis/poles/boards/boots if required)
  • Insurance (travel, medical and public liability)
  • One day off per week
  • Pre-agreed time off during the season (non-peak weeks only) to attend snowsports courses
  • Staff Engagement Programme (employee of the month and social events)
  • Competitive wages of £1000.00 pcm working on a contractor basis

WHERE YOU CAN DO THIS ROLE

Our full time Rescue Co-ordinator is employed to work in the Aosta Valley, Italy and work carried out in Aosta and Pila with ad hoc requirements to work in La Thuile, Courmayeur & Gressoney.
